The Spell Brigade

The Spell Brigade is a wizard-themed roguelike auto shooter with multiplayer.
It's still in early access at the time of writing. There are only 3 stages and 1 boss which is the same across all stages, but that was enough to keep us playing it for a solid week or so as we unlocked more wizards, spells, and elements. The game scales well with the number of players. Solo play is just as viable as multiplayer.
Each session lasts around 20 minutes, with random events firing off at set intervals as time goes on. You get extra bonuses for clearing the events, so it's worth pursuing them instead of just running around and leveling normally.
There's friendly fire which you can turn off via a modifier, but I prefer to leave it on. It's not as chaotic as Magicka because the damage you do to other players is less than you do to enemies, but it's funny when everyone happens to converge on the same spot, triggering panicked yelling in VC as you try not to shoot each other.
